Conference: Planet Under Pressure 2012 - New Knowledge Towards Solutions, 26-29 March 2012, London, UK




The conference will provide a comprehensive update of the pressure planet Earth is now under. Participants will discuss solutions at all scales to move societies on to a sustainable pathway. The conference will provide scientific leadership towards the UN Conference on Sustainable Development "Rio+20" (http://www.earthsummit2012.org/; Swiss website: http://rio20.ch) in June 2012. Several members oft the Swiss Academy of Sciences will attend the PUP Conference in London and represent the national committees of the four International Global Change Programms IGBP, DIVERSITAS, IHDP and WCRP.
