The Biology conference offers an excellent opportunity to present the latest research in organic biology, to get a comprehensive overview of the research currently conducted in Switzerland in this field, to meet researchers from other Institutions and for exchanging ideas. This year, several sessions will be organized according to four key topics: Ecology, Evolution, Biogeography and Conservation. Biology 2016 will take place on February 11th and 12th at the University of Lausanne.
The Biology congress aims at fostering contacts among research groups and researchers working in organismic biology in Switzerland. It offers an excellent opportunity to present the latest research and to get a comprehensive overview of the research currently conducted in this field in Switzerland.
The two days of symposium will be organized with five plenary talks, all other talks taking place within two parallel sessions, thus four sessions per day. Sessions will be organized according to four key topics: Ecology, Evolution, Biogeography and Conservation. Each topic will thus have two half-day sessions (on separate days), in two auditoriums close to each other in the Anthropole building.
Biology16 is the joint meeting of the Swiss Zoological Society, the Swiss Botanical Society, and the Swiss Systematics Society. In 2016 the conference will as well include the Swiss chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology and the Swiss representative of the International Biogeographic Society.
Full program to be expected by the 8 January 2016.
