entomo.ch - The new Swiss meeting for entomology


Die Schweizerische Entomologische Gesellschaft (SEG) führt neu ihre Jahrestagung unter dem Namen entomo.ch durch. Das Ziel ist es, Entomologen aus allen Fachrichtungen zusammenzubringen und damit einen Überblick über die aktuelle entomologische Forschung in der Schweiz zu geben. Ob tätig in der Systematik, Faunistik oder Ökologie – in der Grundlagenforschung oder in der angewandten Forschung - alle Entomologen sind herzlich willkommen!

Die erste entomo.ch findet am Freitag und Samstag 6./7. März 2015 am Agroscope Reckenholz in Zürich statt. Die beiden Hauptvorträge werden von Matthias Albrecht (Agroscope Reckenholz) über die Bestäubung in der Agrarlandschaft, sowie von Nadir Alvarez (Universität Lausanne) über die Phylogeographie der Heuschrecken gehalten. Aktuelle Informationen zur Teilnahme und zur Anmeldung von Vorträgen oder Postern werden auf der Tagungswebseite veröffentlicht.

In March 2015, the Swiss Entomological Society will be hosting its annual meeting un-der the name of entomo.ch for the first time. The goal is to provide a regular venue for entomologists from all disciplines and thus to offer an overview of current research in Switzerland. We welcome entomologists working in areas of basic research as well as applied entomology, and on any topic in systematics, ecology or conservation.

The first entomo.ch will take place on Friday and Saturday, 6 and 7 March 2015 at the Agroscope Reckenholz in Zurich. The two keynote presentations will be given by Matthias Albrecht (Agroscope Reckenholz) on pollination in agricultural landscapes and Nadir Alvarez (University of Lausanne) on the phylogeography of grasshoppers. Current information on the attendance and registration of oral and poster presentations is made available on the meeting website.
