Zusammenfassung

In 2024, the Swiss Zoological Society co-organized the biology24 conference, which took place on January 18-19 at ETH Zurich. At this conference, one “travel grant for junior scientists” was awarded. Two issues of the scientific journal, the “Revue suisse de Zoologie/Swiss Journal of Zoology”, were published.

Publikationen

In 2024, two issues of our scientific journal, the “Revue suisse de Zoologie/Swiss Journal of Zoology”, were published. Both regular issues were published on time, the 22 scientific papers in this volume resulted in a total of 569 pages, including color figures and many photos or line drawings. Of these publications, 13 were contributions by staff members of the Muséum d’histoire naturelle de Genève (MHNG), some of whom are also members of the Swiss Zoological Society. 68 new species were described, the more comprehensive addition being 19 new moth species of Afrotropical Crambidae. These publications are representative of the leading role of Switzerland in the description of biodiversity worldwide. Publications also included annotated checklists and faunistic studies. In 2024, the journal received and evaluated 25 manuscripts: 3 were rejected, 2 are still under evaluation.  All submitted manuscripts were examined by the editorial board and by internal or external experts. Bernard Landry and Alice Cibois managed the publication of the volume.
