NC SCOSTEP: National Committee of the Scientific Committee on Solar Terrestrial Physics

Zusammenfassung


The goal of the national SCOSTEP committee is to strengthen the Swiss solar-terrestrial community by connecting scientists with interests in all aspects of solar-terrestrial physics, including fundamental solar physics, space-weather, and the influence of solar activity and solar variability on the Earth's atmosphere and climate. The committee represents the community within Switzerland and internationally.

 



Tagungen / Kurse


The third national SCOSTEP workshop was held on March 6/7 2019 at PMOD/WRC Davos. It was attended by 30 researchers with backgrounds ranging from fundamental solar physics, solar variability and its effects on Earth, in particular the climate system, to new measurement techniques and future satellite missions.

A) Wissenschaftliche Zusammenarbeit

Dr. Margit Haberreiter represented Switzerland in the Space Weather Expert Group meeting held on the occasion of the 55th session of the United Nations Scientifical and Technical Subcommittee (STSC) to the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) in Vienna, Austria, from 11.2.-22.2. 2019
